Emma Goetz, BA (Hons.), is a recent graduate of the University of Guelph and a new Master of Education student at Queen’s University. ​​

Emma's research and evaluation experience with Dr. Michelle Searle includes partnerships with southern Ontario school boards examining equity, inclusion, anti-racism, student attendance, and youth mental health and well-being. Through this work, she has contributed to survey development, data analysis, assessment and evaluation, and knowledge mobilization, developing an interest in using research to better understand and respond to the needs of communities. Her current research interests centre on newcomer belonging in rural schools. Her work is grounded in community-engaged approaches that bring research, educational practice, and community priorities into closer conversation.
